I want old matchmaking back
First match as killer in a long time and still high skill survivors and everyone says the problem is because survivors DC and that messes it up yeah here's the thing at the very start of this matchmaking it was messed up meaning with people who DCed it didn't help Skill based matchmaking is one of the worst kinds for this kind of game.
I don't even think other games use skill base they use Rank matchmaking so the problem is skill based matchmaking doesn't work due to the fact with people able to dc there's no way to fix it Rank based matchmaking works because it shows how high of a skill level the player is instead of going by performance which for survivors it's by if they escape or not but for killer it's by how many hook or sacrifices or something because I don't think anyone specified what it was.
Which makes it hard you can have a match where the killer is AFK making your matchmaking performance go up even though it never tested your skills so the game thinks yeah your super skilled.
As for killer let's say it was by how many hooks you had you can get three hooks one game and then in the next a 4K which sky rockets it putting you with high skill survivors it doesn't do the math to see how long it took to get your first hook in both matches to kind something in-between.
That's why Skill based matchmaking doesn't work it doesn't do an in-between system.
In the end with skill based matchmaking playing killer isn't fun be I'll know that it's way higher skill survivors.
