Easy Way to Fix all of DBD's Problems
The devs don't want survivors to be tunneled or camped, and they want killers to fell more unstoppable and to focus on chasing and hooking rather than slowing down gens. Great! The community agrees with them. So... they're nerfing/buffing perks and minutely altering the speeds of killer actions and generator repairs. In other words, they're changing the meta by keeping the meta EXACTLY the same but making a few perks better/worse. Slowing down the game and tunneling (though harder) will still be the most efficient M.O. for killers, even if they have to use different perks to achieve it.
So what could they do to solve the game's issues? I have an idea that would require minimal effort and have a huge impact. It is:
Make memento moris after second hooks BASE KIT for killers, and alter the bloodpoint rewards and emblems to favor mori kills over hook sacrifices, and lock the moris behind 5 hook stages (the third hook stage, what I'm calling the sacrifice stage, would not count toward this and would reward less points then killing a survivor by your own hands).
This largely ends camping and tunneling, as the incentivization structure now rewards moris that are locked behind 5 hook stages, which can ONLY be achieved by hooking at least three people, either by hooking two twice and a third once, or four once and then one of them a second time.
This promotes going for hooks and tormenting all the survivors (which is what the Entity wants. It's dropped four people into an enclosed space and then let a killer loose. It WANTS them to suffer more, not just get killed off), not to mention the fact that Moris are just plain fun for the killer and survivors. And if you told a newcomer that in a horror-themed game with killers against survivors that you rarely actually got to kill them, they'd be rather confused I think, and rightly so.
The mori animations already exist; hook counters exist; bloodpoints exist... all they'd have to do is alter the reward structure to favor moris over hook sacrifices. And BOOM, the game is more fun on both sides with minimal work from the devs, and tunneling/camping is eliminated as it no longer leads to a killer's Merciless Victory.
