What's the point of nerfing DS, just to make OTR more broken?
I don't get it, you nerf DS, cool. But then you rework Off The Record, to be a completely better version of DS. Even current LIVE DS, cannot compete with this reworked OTR.
Not only is there no risk of going down at all so you can't be slugged. But you can now just freely take hits for someone else. That extends PAST being about tunneling, that is now just straight up an anti tunneling perk but at the same time a protection perk for someone else, if the person with OTR is smart enough.
As annoying as DS was, when you needed to get a kill and get someone out of the game to apply some real pressure, you could at least down them and slug them. Make them have to waste time to get up alone with unbreakable, or straight up force a 3rd survivor to come out and help them up. But now with this? It's just so overly safe. You can't go down, you get the speed boost from being hit, if you're smart enough you can body block a hit for someone else. Or hell, you get healed, and then you can take TWO HITS.... TWO HITS. The endurance hit, and then the healthy state hit, and not go down. That is genuinely insane.
I hope this doesn't make it past the PTB, because this is just wrong. It's especially wrong when there's already the botany buff to 50%, so god forbid you're going to be in a M1 simulator match where everyone heals in 2 seconds with botany and a medkit. (Not even gonna throw in circle of healing because I'd rather not vomit)
