BHVR what is the long term aim behind these changes?
With the upcoming changes to many of the perks I’m trying to understand what the long-term vision for the game is. Not talking about generic lofty goals such as “50% killrate” or “shake up the meta”, I mean in terms of where the balance is heading. Some of these changes are good, such as the improvements to reducing chase duration and faster removal of pallets, but there are also a number which don’t seem to make sense. The iron will one is a perfect example. Why would anyone take this perk now if it doesn’t work when exhausted, considering that you’ll likely be under the effect during chase and it being the ideal time to have grunts of pain suppressed. It’s a nerf to stealth play while also simultaneously buffing perks such as lucky break and distortion.
If you were to clarify “we want stealth to be the main playstyle” it would at least explain some changes even if the community didn’t like that direction. Many of these changes and particularly the way they’re being proposed seems to be for the sake of it rather than as a considered strategy in line with a specific destination. DS stun reduction, considering killers like blight / nurse being the obvious example.
We know that people feel they must stack regression / second chance perks currently but could someone at BHVR please provide some clarification on the above as it would at least help shape the feedback we as a community can provide knowing what the aim is.
