In Game Grind Reduction

Here is my idea to reduce the game grind. This is predicated on the following:

  1. BHvR doesn't want to remove perk tiers. This will reduce the Skinners Box mentality found in the Blood Web. Reducing player's desire to play is not financially sound for BHvR so it makes no sense for them to do this.
  2. A generic perk shop could be opened and players could purchase perks from this shop instead of the RNG Blood Web. However, this would reduce the Skinners Box mentality - which again - BHvR doesn't want. Also, this idea is so simple and easy that BHvR could have done this years ago. The fact that they haven't shows they don't want to.
  3. No addon rework. Making perks easier to access and unlock will - this is worth repeating three times - REDUCE THE SKINNERS BOX MENTALITY. Thus, the primary interest would need to shift from unlocking cool and useful perks to cool and useful addons. This would require a major rework of addons to make them interesting enough for players to want to engage with. This would likely take decades given BHvR's technical and QoL throughput.

With the preconditions defined I will now outline the options I came up with to reduce the grind.

  1. Players can pay real money to unlock perks permanently across all characters. At a simple price point of $1 per perk, this can allow BHvR to increase the money they get from DLC by about 50%. This takes away from the grind in game and moves it to a more abstract place called the "real world". This also increases profit for BHvR (50% increase for almost 0 additional work!!!!) and they can invest it into hiring more people to work on this game.
  2. Players can watch ads, complete captchas for machine learning, and take online surveys to unlock perks across all characters. This moves the grind away from the game to the "internet", which is what you are using to read my post. 250 ads, captchas, or surveys completed can result in one perk unlock. BHvR can earn money from the ads, captchas, and surveys as well! Maybe they can even use captchas to train the possibly upcoming bot AI to spot totems, survivors, killers, or any other objectives. This is clearly a win-win for them.

These are my ideas. What are you ideas/feedback?
