Crouch Movement Speed increase - 3.6m/s ➤ 4.2m/s
The Crouching mechanic is very special because it is only found in the kit of 2 killers, those being The Ghostface and The Pig. However, unlike The Ghostface, The Pig needs to be crouched to gain the Undetectable status effect, which is only useful to sneak up on survivors that are preoccupied with a task. Since The Pig was so slow when crouching, it negated the time gained when getting a sneak attack on a survivor. It also made stealthing around the map to find a survivor a very bad idea, because The Pig would lose so much distance just getting across the map. This increase in crouching speed should improve the stealth part of her kit and make her a more unpredictable killer for the survivors in the trail.
• Ambush duration increase - 2 seconds ➤ 2.5 seconds • Ambush missed attack cooldown decrease - 2 seconds ➤ 1.5 seconds
The Pig's Ambush was another piece in her arsenal that was underperforming. While it was good for catching a survivor off-guard, its use in a standard loop was lacking. It's increase in duration should help its use in slightly longer loops where it often feels like the killer has no power. Additionally, her missed attack cooldown is going to be decreased from 2 seconds to 1 and a half seconds. This change was made because it can be very frustrating for the killer to spend time setting up a well timed ambush, only to have the survivor run away in a straight line. We feel like this type of gameplay is not healthy as it discourages decision making for both sides and emphasizes both sides to simply run in a straight line. Both having a longer ambush and a shorter missed attack duration will make it harder to outrun The Pig's ambush and additionally The Pig is not punished as much for missing an ambush, which will incentivize the killer to go for more unique ambush attacks and not feel as punished if they miss said attack.

The Reverse Bear Traps are a very powerful part of The Pig's kit, however their power was often negates by teams that happened to get lucky with their Jigsaw Box searches. Therefore, their chance to be removed has been reworked. The first box searched has a 0% chance to contain the key, while the rest of the boxes have an equal 33% chance to contain the key. Additionally, the Reverse Bear Trap will now pause its timer when a survivor is searching a Jigsaw Box. The change was made for a couple of reasons, the first being that sometimes a survivor was unable to search the last box because the bear trap would activate during the searching action. Another reason why this was changed is because it made the search time slowdown addons also increase the lethality of her beartraps.
