How to invite friends playing with Epic from the Steam version ?

Hello ^^

So i'm a DBD steam player but my friends picked up DBD from the Epic store while it's still free to grab and i was wondering if the crossplay between both platforms is possible and if yes i do i invite them to play with me ?

Because i would love not to have to install the game a second time and i'm not sure cross progression is available yet and if it is, if it's safe since i heard people having problems when it came on consoles.

Thank you so much for your (future) answers, and have a lovely day in the Fog ! (Also enjoy the upcoming winter event it promise to be fun as hell !)

yes all you do is add them through the in game adding system. Make sure to enter their username and the numbers of their account.
