Recent and past hacking and security breaches.
The developers claim to take such matters extremely seriously, and yet it took weeks before they even considered investigating despite being well aware of the issue. The game is rife with hackers on all platforms and playing all roles, yet the process for reporting is made as difficult as possible to reduce the likelihood of a report. Reports post match are completely ignored and the developers demand that you record all matches and submit ultra high quality recordings proving foul play before they still don't give the hacker so much as a 1 minute timeout. There is no way for a player who isn't livestreaming the game to be respected by the developers and the hackers have grown bold and blatant. Was in a match earlier today with a survivor who was using dead-hard without the perk equipped and while using a toolbox to blind the killer, I posted a report but, because I can't record my games and also have a decent game quality, it is just one of countless reports the developers don't give a ######### about. At this point the developers might as well be selling specially modified versions of the game and profiting from the dishonesty directly. The developers say they encourage players to make reports but why bother when they are all ignored? Do none of the developers take even a modicum of pride in their creation that they would want to try and prevent hackers rather than encourage the behaviour through turning a blind eye? No punishment and no investigations mean this sort of thing is only going to get worse.
