Do boon totems eventually disable themselves?

In a few games I've played the killer never went near some boon totems and they eventually un-blessed themselves. Is this supposed to happen because I even confirmed with the killer that they couldn't even snuff out the totem at all and it just went away eventually.

    May be what happened to you its that survivors moved the boon to another totem.


    And no, boom totems does not gone off.

    In addition to what ARTRA said, if the survivor who blessed it dies, DC's or escapes the totem disappears as well.
