Valve won't ban DBD
What you shouldn't publish on Steam:
5. Content you don't own or have adequate rights to
13. Applications built on blockchain technology that issue or allow exchange of cryptocurrencies or NFTs
Clive Barker technically doesn't have the rights to Hellraiser back until December this year, according to some redditors. Does that mean BHVR would have adequate rights to the license? Probably.
DBD itself isn't built on blockchain technology nor does it allow exchange of the NFT itself; the NFT grants you access to the DLC likely through the backdoor. If the NFT grants you a Steam DLC code, that means Valve is getting some % of the money generated by the issuance of the DLC codes, correct?
If all that is accurate, I would guess that there is no violation of the Steamworks onboarding procedures regarding the NFT ordeal.
At least trees don't have feelings, though, and the Steam DLC code cannot be revoked, even if the NFT could be.
