MMR has proven my point about very strong survivor starts
There's been a bit of debate in recent years about extremely quick first gens, like 1 gen done less than 30 seconds into the match. I can't stress enough that my problem with this is not that it's happening every game, but that it's even possible. Gens should not be finished that quick from 0%, full stop. But people always made excuses for these situations like, "Usually the killer just 4k's anyway." And I would always respond to that like, "Yes, but what happens when the survivors don't throw the game, and they keep that momentum going?" And now we're able to see what I was talking about.
Those dreaded "5 gens in 5 minutes" games have become commonplace at high MMR. It starts with 1 or 2 gens getting done near enough instantly, followed by 2 more gens in the middle of the match a minute later, then the last gen which the killer fights for but inevitably loses no matter what, and then 4 people escape unless it's a camping Leatherface.
So you see, survivors who do the gens efficiently from start to finish, which the game isn't balanced for, are just dominating high MMR. It's not a fairy tale that the killer can be pressuring like crazy and the survivors still do all the gens. Maybe 3 killers can overcome these types of situations, with strong perks and add-ons.
I just want people to see that the game is in the survivors' hands, not the killer's. Especially when survivors bring strong toolboxes to get the gens done really quick, they are automatically winning the race against time. If survivors have an insane start and then get 1 or 0 people out, they threw the game, intentionally or unintentionally. It's not because the killer can just ignore and trump the runaway gens. It was their game to lose from the start.
