Should we make Tokens the norm for perks to activate?

Let me explain what I mean by this:

Some perks (MoM, Spirit Fury, Gearhead, Rookie Spirit, etc.) require you to do X action Y amount of times before it activates. If it were on a Token based mechanic, we would not need to reset these perks and could have them activate multiple times after fulfilling requirements w/o charging them after they activate.

For example, lets say I break 4 Pallets with Tier 3 Spirit Fury. Right now the perk would be active after 2 pallet breaks and the other two would be 'wasted', but on a Token system SF would have 4 Tokens and therefore could be activated twice back to back w/o additional pallet breaks. There aren't many perks that have this mechanic in game, would it make more sense for the perks that work like I mentioned to be switched to a Token-based system instead?

Comments

  • Certain perks would benefit from being token-based, but it absolutely should not be the norm. Tokens should be used when that makes the most sense for the perk to be designed- there are plenty of perks that should just work without having to be token based or having bizarre activation requirements.

  • So you're basically asking to use Spirit Fury twice in a row? No thanks.
