What are you trying to ask exactly?
@TheGannMan What different between dead man's switch and repressed alliance??? its same perks
One is a killer perk one is a survivor perk
@OneCagedHeart but they same are block gen only without effects
Repressed Alliance is a survivor perk where the survivor blocks the gens on command, preventing from it regressing. Dead Man’s Switch is a killer perk that blocks a gen for a certain amount of time when the obsession is hooked and a survivor stops repairing it.
@TheGannMan ah ok, but strange this 2 perks can help both sides as a killer as a survivor
I mean not really because their conditions are different and you’re probably basing your build around these perks for the most part.
@TheGannMan hm.mmm....maybe
While repressed alliance blocks a single gen, dead man's switch blocks all gens the survivors let go of
It prevents them from both working on the gen and the killer from kicking it, its a dual edged sword
They have a similar effect, but different conditions and purposes. Dead Man's Switch blocks gens if survivors stop working on them after the obsession is hooked. What this does is effectively give you a bit of tracking as you can see when a gen becomes blocked which tells you a survivor recently stopped touching the gen.
Repressed Alliance gives the survivor the ability to make the entity block the gen they're working on with the press of a button after you've met the time condition. It also highlights the blocked gen in white for all survivors to see which gives them information that the killer is probably chasing the person who blocked the gen and that it is likely close to being finished since they protected it.
While both block gens from being regressed, Dead Man's Switch is repeatable and gives a slight bit of tracking info whereas Repressed Alliance you can only use once, but it gives your teammates a sign that your gen is probably worth prioritizing after the 30 second block goes away.
