Don’t compare him to clown compare him more to a weaker huntress. They both counter the same thing which is transitioning. He’s a stronger huntress in more ways than he is a weaker clown.

I'd say it's balanced out with free map pressure, teleportation and 115% MS...oh, and a smaller Terror Radius. His possessed chain isn't as good as a hatchet, by a long shot, but the other aspects of his kit make up for it. Never mind certain add-ons that improve his chains or his map pressure. I'd say an average player can passively do more with him than they could with Huntress.

They maybe make up for it against baby survivors. Good survivors know how to instantly break every single chain rendering his power all but useless in most cases. Map pressure and teleportation is useless if he can’t capitalize off it.
