Thought Experiment -> Only one survivors

I always thought about that in movies most of the time there is one survivor who beats or survives the evil. In DBD its all about team work.

We always wanted a new mode e.g. 2v8 or something. Can YOU think of a mode that would be 1v4 but also force survivor to work against each other? Like there will be one survivor at the end of each match but not more and not less. What would be your idea to implement such mode? How would you change the rules? Who would you make teamwork necessary but at some point force survivor to sacrifice each other to survive without it being "toxic".

I think the concept sounds funny but I am struggling with the rules. What ideas do you have!
