All the windows (and some fences), there is a big hole on it. The killer's lunge allows him to hit accross it & to hit you. So he can hit you with an attack (M1 mouse). Check his red stain during chase, if you are on it, he can reach you...
That's most likely due to latency. The killer, and their lunge, are about two or three steps closer than they appear on-screen to the surv. On the killer's pov they appear right up your bunghole when they swing.
