Bug with Tome III - Page 1 - The Engineer's Guild

We were trying to complete that quest in the third tome, page one, challenge "The Engineer's Guild". The description says to repair a total of 2 generators while cooperating with other survivors. We tried by both starting at the same time on the gens and completely finish it together without cancelling the interaction. We also tried while both using the perk Prove Thyself, but still haven't succeeded. Then, I did both gens with someone while using Prove Thyself in a single game and still didn't succeed. We went to multiple maps, like Temple of Purgation and Groaning Storehouse. This challenge blocks the survivor line. Is it possible that it's a bug or the description is wrong? Thanks.
