Killer and survivor Rank

I've been playing dead by daylight for ages and wonder why it can be that just nothing is done to it that the killer rank is so difficult to reach. As a survivor you get so ######### fast in the red area 1 is also easily accessible. but as a killer it always takes forever to reach the 1, even if you start at rank 5 on 13. Or how do you see it?
