Is it considered taking a crown if i play with licensed character?

The first community challenge: A Naughty Birthday.

If i understand correctly, each player should take 500,000 crowns to get these 2 charms.

Or the whole community receiving them together no matter what?

If the challenge is personal, is it considered that i received the crowns if i played with licensed character?

Please explain to me.

Claiming the crown counts towards the community goal AFAIK. Whether or not you can wear it is another matter entirely.
