Question about lockers

I was playing as spirit, looking for last survivor.  I had an idea of the area they were at. So I rounded a corner on a jungle gym and out of the corner of my eye I spotted something white sticking out of the locker. I go check it and low and behold a frightened Nea appears. 

So my question is have items always clipped through the lockers or is it a new bug? (Toolbox in her hand) I've never noticed this before but I've only been playing since BBQ event.

Sounds like a bug to me. Items should be hidden with the survivor in a locker.

It's a bug. You can find tons of pictures with players sticking out of them.
