PC - Pig's map had no totems

I had this situation right now fighting against the doctor [Dont have video proof excuse me..], and I had the perk 'small game' and I checked both lower and upper floors and seen absolutely NO totem. its like they were invisible. I kept getting the ticks with the perk, but kept looking for even one and didnt see any..
