How much do the devs and we consider perks, maps, and add-ons into the balance of a killer?
Some people decide the balance of a killer only on the base which shouldn't be done because that is saying that perks, add-ons and maps don't do anything for gameplay. Which shouldn't be done. Here's how much they boost a killer. Old Freddy 2.0 and New Wraith they have a balanced base nothing too big Freddy has everything but wasn't the best at anything. Same with new Wraith great stealth mobility, and a small loop anti loop. But dear god they are so much better with add-ons and perks. Old Freddy 2.0 with Chains, and most slowdown. Was a nightmare to face. And current Wraith with all seeing or silent bell it'll be a challenge. Hence why Freddy got nerfed and why people want new Wraith nerfed. And we are all inconsistent in considering this let's look back at the Huntress and Demo addon changes. When Demo had nerfed rat liver before shred changes people were saying he was nerfed. While Huntress lost Iri Head and Infantry Belt also 1:30 exhaustion no one was saying she was nerfed. Another example base Spirit is hard to face but it's beatable because you could likely outrun the 5 seconds phase. But with her add-ons you aren't getting away or with Stridor since it gives a pinpoint precision if you're walking or standing still because they'll hear your breathing even more. With maps all stealth killers will have a hard time on open maps like Autohaven or Ormond but on indoor maps they're so good. While the mighty Nurse or Bligh would suddenly struggle. So how much should we dictate the balance of a killer with perks, add-ons, and maps?
