Headless Horseman could be possible for the game and become the best version by the Devs of him
Why he would make a perfect killer
- There have been many versions of The Headless Horseman to the Sleepy Hollow movie with Johnny Depp to the Sleepy hollow TV show in which the Horseman is one of the Horsemen of the apocalypse so could be possible to either go for a licensed killer or an original killer that's based on him with a Dead by Daylight Twist.
- The Headless Horseman could be the most brutal killer in the game including his Mori. The Cosmetics could range from medieval to revolutionary war outfit style and head cosmetic won't be a problem since you can just assign that slot to the torso sorta like hill billy that his head and torso cosmetic are merged together but this case Head is Torso and torso is the pants.
- Would bring a lot of new players to the game that loved the book or any movies related to the Horseman. In most stories he was a Soldier in the army so would imagine his playthroughs would be a strategic but yet deadly outcome for survivors.
- His weapons could range from a Sword, Battle Axe, or even an executioner's Axe from the medieval ages.
- Lore could be twisted into the Entity's favor for example. The Horseman could have been awakened by the Entity from his long rest in the cemetery. He crawls out of the grave he was left in to find his weapon wedged in the tombstone. With great force pulled his weapon out of the stone and noticed his steed nearby waiting for his command. The Horseman gets on his steed and rides off into the dark forest unknowingly of what force awakened him. Later in the dark forest, he notices the fog arise surrounding him while hearing gunfire and cannons firing from his war in the past getting louder but gets muffled by the voices coming from the fog. The Fog dissipates to reveal he is back at the Graveyard but something is off. There are hooks everywhere and strange contraptions attached to tall beams. He catches a glimpse of a survivor in the distance and realizes what the hooks are for now. Instinct kicks in and he orders the steed to run at the survivor while holding his weapon in one hand and a ball of fire in his other. The Horseman has new orders from this unknown being and won't rest until it's done.
- They could make better lore but that was just an example. The Headless Horseman ironically has not been used in much of modern media unlike Vampires or Mummies unless it's just a small reference. The last time I saw him was Sleepy Hollow TV Show which sadly got canned but " When something falls into the fire another rises from the Ash" so hoping someday we see a version by Dead By Daylight because would be amazing since Blight was based on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde which he turned out great.
Will-o'-the-wisp
- His power could be an aim and area of effect to trap a survivor sorta like clown but much more deadly. he throws a fireball or pumpkin to an area that causes flames to spread for a certain amount of time which survivors would become injured but not downed if coming into contact with the flames if they are healthy.
- Power has a short cooldown but flames can't touch each other or they will be extinguished by the new flames
- Could also slow them down, make them scream, show auras, or give a status effect if they are already injured which could have more effects by using addons.
- Saw the flame idea for Nemesis concept from @Tayte so big props to them who made the concept power, I changed its original idea into a throwable power to fit more with the Headless Horseman instead of shooting flames in front of you like Nemesis.
Should have a 2nd power for a wider range of playthrough like @SOMENINJANAME proposed.
Daredevil The Horse
- 2nd Power is summoning his horse for highly increased movement speed. While on the horse he has less turning and can't pick up downed survivors or do anything but ride on. He could still fit through doorways but because of less turning wouldn't be great indoors and because of the horse size.
- Also, the horse should either be able to break pallets(instantly) or jump over them but no window access cause again too big. When you have arrived at your preferred destination then you hop off to use your basic attack or use your fireball.
Powers Explained
- So if you get an open map you can use both powers for the full advantage but in case you get a small map or indoor map he won't be completely useless and will still be terrifying because he can still use his fireball power to force survivors to either avoid it or go through the flames to suffer the consequences.
- Of course, they could just do Will o Wisp since horse power might be complicated but was worth mentioning a possibility, and plus who does not like different ways to play the killer for more of a challenge.
- Powers are meant to make the Horseman actually feel like your playing as him from the pages of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow embracing the terror he would bring to the trials.
Extras
- Chase music should be old-fashioned but gives a Halloween vibe.
- A map should be a Cemetary that is also connected to a Bridge over a water source.
- Ichabod Crane is a survivor or survivor that writes horror novels.
- Cosmetics should have slight references to other media's that used the Headless Horseman
- Any basic hits should have him make a slight yet horrific laugh like Deathslinger.
- Door breaks would have him plunge his weapon with full force to break it.
- Addons should have references from the Legends of Sleepy Hollow book.
- More should be gruesome to show he means business like Survivor tries to run away but Horseman throws a fireball knocking them down to the ground then walks to them while dragging his weapon on the ground and plunges it into the survivor, picks up his weapon, and lets out an echoing laugh.
