survivor escaped while hatch was closed and gens are not completed

wondering if this is possible since a survivor escaped when 2 gens are not done and hatch is not open (3 survivors are still alive) i know the hatch is not open since i checked the hatch myself and it was closed. my theory is some sort of map glitch where they somehow got past the exit gate but idk.

    The new patch made it so after 10 seconds a survivor escapes with a key the hatch closes again and since the killer didn't close it himself it won't trigger the endgame.

    You sure they didn't have just 1 gen left? If that's the case it was a hacker who just walked through the closed exit door with some no clip hack.

    they finished a gen around the same time but i cant remember so ill assume it was the key thing i had no idea keys work like that, thank you
