Why are there not graphic settings on console?

Would this not help with some performance issues that console players have been begging to be fixed for years? Hard for me to believe that they simply can’t do it.

    Especially for newer consoles there should be a performance mode. My main gripe though is game brightness, or lack thereof. Game is obnoxiously dark on my Series X.

    For real, I shouldn’t have to max out the brightness on my tv for me to be able to make 5 feet in front of me on maps like midwich and the game
