Stop trying to escape/ rescuing right away

I’ve been playing dbd for a couple years now and I’m pretty sure a lot of people have already talked about this. Please if you see this post spread the advice. Stop trying to save everybody as soon as they’re hooked. Also stop forcing your teammates to save you by trying to escape the hook and triggering second phase. It really makes no sense to me. Every match I’ve had these past couple of weeks (especially against Freddy) everyone keeps trying to save a survivor right away instead of working on generators to keep pressure on the killer. If you’re on your first hook you have some time to hang so that your teammates can work around however the killer is playing. Of course you should save a survivor before they enter second phase but at least make some progress on the map first. There’s no point to saving each other right away if there’s no gens done and everyone ends up getting their first hook early. Also stop forcing your second phase just to get unhooked. There’s no point in getting rid of your hang time just to run around the map and hope the killer doesn’t find you right away. There’s a good chunk of time between when you’re first hoooked and when the killer comes back to check if anyone’s around you. The whole point of the game is to work together. So if that means having to hang on the hook for a bit in order to get the pressure off your team, then just give them some time. I’m not super in depth on the game mechanics but I don’t feel like I’m the only one thinking this.
