How to counter lag switching

Seriously i'm having a hard time with lag switchers how do you counter them but the number of times i've hit survivors and some how nope they don't hit but have some lag how do you counter it

    It may well be an issue on your end if it is happening often. If so, an ethernet cable is a good place to start.

    You can't really, if they are legit lag switching. That's why it's bannable. You can get lucky and try to predict when they "return" to tje game but it's incredibly hard.

    I don't think you understand how lag switching works. It can't be done to dedicated servers.

    In theory, if you have a bad internet connection as killer, the server won't register some of your hits if it deems that you actually shouldn't have hit the survivor. That sounds like what is happening with you, although you haven't really gone in depth.
