NEW TO PC DBD (Windows store or Steam?)

Hello there im new to pc dbd and have been playing on the game pass version (windows store) but i've noticed most people play on the steam version. I'm looking to grind the game so would it worth while switching to the steam? If so what are the benefits to the switch?

    Steam seems to be the ‚main‘ platform, as it gets mostly all features that not every other platform gets, such as cross progression (only Steam and Stadia atm and Switch following later) or PTBs (not sure if also available on Windows Store?)

    but cross progression could theoretically come to Windows Store and consoles later..
