I was thinking, when you’re the last survivor and trying to escape, there should be a fuse box in the main building that you’re able to charge like the exit gate. Once the fuse box is charged and switched on, both gates open and have a timer on it to evacuate.

    Exactly, knowing that the killer would either find hatch or head to the fuse is one way. So it gives you an opportunity to open the door manually or find hatch before killer does..
