Cinematics/Intro will not be played

Windows 10, Steam
Description of the issue/steps to reproduce:
I don't know why, but since a few updates, no video will be played anymore in the game. Neither the intro video, nor any cinematic in the archive. The videos are all there in the steam folder, I can open them with my video player, and I have no config like "-novideo" in my settings. My graphics card driver is also fine, and Dead by Daylight is the only game with this issues. I already verified the game files via steam, and even did a full uninstall and reinstall of the game, also tried starting steam as administrator, nothing works so far.
