The next new map we get will probably be released alongside the coldwind farm map rework
We have coldwind farm, the swamp, and red forest maps left for a total of 8 maps.
coldwind farm has 4 maps but very few unique tiles in fact it only has 3 which are it's main buildings and also the harvester if you want to include that. Meanwhile red forest and the swamp maps each have multiple unique tiles besides just it's main buildings.
So because of how few tiles the devs would have to redesign despite it being 4 maps for coldwind farm they could easily do this map and create a new one as they do it. That won't be the case if they do the swamp map and red forest simply because those maps have so many more unique tiles they would have to work on.
My point is if we see teasers/art that the next reworked map is coldwind farm I think it is safe to say that we will be getting a new map. thanks for reading my kinda pointless discovery, I just want a new map to play on.
edit: forgot one of the maps but still 1 of them is literally just a field with nothing on it other than harvesters and hills. very little work would need to be done compared to other maps.
