Question about matchmaking

FacuMart

can anybody explain to me how te matchmaking works ??

Im from South America and playing from a ps5. Im always end up on rank 13 - 15 at the end of the season, an average player at best.

However im always getting matches against level 8 or above, why ????

I have enable crossplay so it cannot be a lack of players, or can be? is the game this dead in terms of playerbase or is a ######### matchmaking system ?

I appreciate any help or information.

Saludos!!
