What counts as a stun in the stun challenge? I stunned the killer four times using Head On and DS but it didn't work. Does it need to be a pallet stun?

Must have been bugged, normally unless specified all stuns count to my knowledge.
I believe even flashlight saves count as a stun as i had the challenge with only 3 stuns and a flashlight save
