PC[GamePass] Asks if I want to quit. Decline, game lags and exits.

I am on pc playing through the xbox app and owning through game pass. When I am in a menu the game will sometimes show the "Are you sure you want to quit?" like I hit the exit button or alt f4 the game. I will select the cancel option. After a few seconds the game will stutter and lag, then exit. The logs were not in my appdata folder and I do not have video. This has happened after I changed my mouse polling rate to 250 Hz or 4ms to get the game to run at the desired FPS. I am running on an i7 9700k and an amd 5700xt. This is the first day that this issue has appeared. It has happened twice within a few hour time span.
