Continuously vomiting when doing an action

I played against a Plague on one of the new Autohaven maps today. When you were fully sick, any time you did any type of action (repairing a generator, opening a chest, etc), the survivor would only vomit instead of coughing or any other thing that happens while sick.

The Plague also had the Black Incense add-on (ultra rare, lets you see the survivors auras when they vomit), so I am unsure if they were exploiting a bug knowingly or not.

EDIT: Had gone against another Plague, same thing happened. Went into a custom match with a friend and discovered it was just the male survivors that would do this. Confusing, considering the first match my friend was playing Nea and had the same issue when I was playing Dwight.
