Was making perks teachable a mistake?

What do you think?

should perks have been made teachable? or should every character have their own set of unique perks?

l like teachable because it’s given me the chance to make some really fun builds.

but it’s also given people the chance to make some pretty strong permanent meta builds.

lf we didn’t have teachables would we be seeing 4 of the same survivor vs one of the same killer every game?

maybe we already do just in a different body?

  • They were definitely a good idea.

Without teachables, many survivors would be useless and many killers as well.

  • I think the main issue with teachable perks is they represent a carrot to chase after. Without some kind of a goal, bloodpoints quickly become nothing more than running the same character at 50 to keep add ons stockpiled.

While it is a finite carrot, and runs out eventually, it gives players a sense of progression across characters. Getting Meg to 50 seems satisfying until you get bored and wanna try Jake. Now Jake gets to carry on some of the progress you made with Meg, and so on and so forth.
