Cutiaddu

So umh I recently played blood a game from 1997...The protagonist called Caleb is very similar to the deathslinger in many aspects, they both have a cowboy aspect, they are both dead, they use guns and the voices are similar. So is the deathslinger inspired by caleb (they share the same name also) or am I just stupid?
