Add a tree house to the big tree on Shelter Woods
That map desperately needs a drop for Balanced Landing and a unique landmark of its own. It's by far the most boring map game play wise and aesthetically. You could put a chest and a totem spawn point up there. Maybe even a gen.
Obviously not a true tree house because it would need stairs, but you get the point.

Yeah, you are right, that map sucks, there ins't a hill to activate the perk, and tree house idea is original. Or they could just eliminate that map.
Its a shame that this coment is not going to receive much views :(
Alternative idea: Make the tree really huge, and add 3 more of them (randomly across the map). Now, add an entrance and exit for them all (except one, for that random generation DbD likes a lot for some reason). Last step, make underground mines. The entire Macmillian estate centers around mining, yet there are no big signs of mining in any of the maps. This would make it unique, and give it story telling. There could even be neat Easter eggs in it.
Obviously there are going to be dead bodies in the minecarts, and that's really all I can think of.
There should be railroad tracks that connect to each tree, so players don't get lost as easily as they would've, and signs pointing to the tracks if players aren't there, so it's less easy to get lost. Maybe in the middle there's a map. However, the place is filled with tight corners, weird and random turns, too many walkways to go, this is made to make you feel claustrophobic (I think it was). You're underground, with only 3 exits, being caved in.
Should contain at least one totem and likely to spawn chest and hatch. Confirmed at least one gen, but can spawn 2.
Edit: remembered the "Balanced Landing" need. So, the tree entrance is a drop down, and the exit for the tree is above the entrance and opposite way. Exit is near the entrance and easy to see. It's hard to describe it. The best I could maybe do is think of a spiral staircase, but there's a drop near the top and near bottom?
I agree that it needs a proper landmark, but I think a tree house would conflict with the whole McMillan's lore.
