3k hours player analysing 4.3 patchnotes or why can't they just stop doing that.

Firstly, this patch is a big mess. Huge disappointment, showing how much BHVR lacks something crucial that prevents them from doing actual balancing instead of doing something just for the record. A lot of unnecessary nerfs, changes and general middle fingers (to killer players mostly) to people which isn't even funny.

I'll quote these patchnotes with that kind of text and provide my opinion on each of the major changes. Let's start with Pyramidhead and other more positive changes:

The Executioner Balance Update

Power:

  • After cancelling Rites of Judgement:
  • Movement speed is 4.4 m/s for 1 second
  • Further attacks cannot be made for 1 second
  • Cooldown before further attacks after Punishment of the Damned reduced from 2.75 seconds to 2.25 second

No negative changes. 1 second is still enough to hit survivor performing a slow vault if you've cornered them by threatening to use PotD, while cooldown reduction allows to spam PotD more frequently. I personally believe this is more of a buff, than a nerf, although it still needs testing.

  • Trail of Torment: Undetectable now lasts until the affected Generator stops regressing or a Survivor is injured or put into the dying state by any means

Interesting change which would enable interesting strategies. I personally see this being especially good on oneshot melee killers like Leatherface or Billy (with Apex Muffler esp). Probably new meta perk.

  • Forced Penance: Broken Status effect lasts 60/70/80 seconds

No one really asked for it, but buffs to underused perks are welcome nonetheless.

  • Blood Pact: Haste bonus is now 5%/6%/7%, and lasts until the Survivors are no longer within 16 meters of each other

Same here, it would be interesting to see how this affects survivors meta. I wonder how it will work in coordinated groups.

  • Any Means Necessary now awards Bloodpoints when used, and its cooldown has been reduced to 100/80/60 seconds

Nothing changes here, as you don't get to see a lot of dropped pallets anyway. Probably will remain underused due to being very niche.

  • Thanataphobia no longer affects healing speed, and its penalties have been increased to 4%/4.5%/5%

Now negative things. +1% bonus is laughable and doesn't justify healing affection removal.

  • Mindbreaker's effect now lasts 3/4/5 seconds

Should I say that this perk will not be played even if exhaustion is 10 seconds? It must not have 50% progress limitation to be at least remotely useful.

  • Cruel Limits's range has been increased to 32 meters

Useless. Not worth taking for 5 procs you can't control and which can be avoided by running out in one direction for 8 seconds. Also, still doesn't affect pallets for some reason.

  • Slippery Meat no longer affects Bear Trap escapes, and now increases hook escape attempt probabilities by 2%/3%/4%

Deliverance for poor people or the ones who get hooked first.

  • Hex: Huntress Lullaby now only affects healing and repairing skill checks

Oh yeah, a nerf this perk certainly needed as it was used so often. Hey, can you nerf unrelenting too?

  • Technician now prevents all Generator explosions from missed skill checks
  • The Generator loses and additional 5%/4%/3% progress for missed skill checks

Not worth taking in 99% cases unless you have zero experience. Additional regression is an unnecessary punishment that will scare even noobs from taking the perk.

  • Pop Goes the Weasel now lasts 35/40/45 seconds

Without all these bitter jokes about DS, this perk is even more nerfed for low mobility killers and hasn't changed for high mobility ones which were the issue with Pop in the first place (Freddy f/e)

  • We're Gonna Live Forever now increases healing speed by 100% when healing a Survivor in the dying state

Probably new meta perk, we'll see how it works out.

  • Players now gain a token when rescuing a Survivor by stunning the Killer with a pallet or blinding them with a flashlight

That was the feature already, you really should play your own game or hire people who do that and ask their opinion.

IN CONCLUSION:

  • Remove additional penalty on Technician
  • Add extra 2-3% on thana to justify it no longer affecting healing or revert healing changes.
  • Remove 50% condition on Mindbraker.
  • Make Cruel Confinement affect pallets.
  • Revert Lullaby changes.
  • Add Slippery meat some actual usage or niche, it's awful when some perks are just budget versions of the others.
  • Revert Pop's nerf/Rework it so low mobility killers aren't the only ones suffering from the -15 second nerf.
