What is a trap based killer supposed to do

I have this issue with both hag and trapper i set a trap and 10s latter its disarmed then i have no passive map pressure or gen pressure a gen is done in 20s (totatly fair as a killer that needs to waist time to do that) then i have 4 traps across the map near nothing with no traps. And the final gen is done 2 hooks the whole game. What is a trap based killer suposed to do when he cant have a trap for 5s.

  • Run corrupt intervention and try to snowball before they finish all gens

  • Yea i can do that use a perk that last only 2.3 minutes but my traps will still be disarmed and im now a basic killer with 3 perks and not 4

  • Make sure you aren't setting up with people watching you.

As Trapper, you should also try only setting up once you have started to pressure survivors. So, go patrol gens in common spawn areas first, then have a couple chases, then set up traps while in those chases or in areas of frequent use when the group is beginning to split up.

As Hag, if people are triggering your traps shortly after being placed, while walking around keep mashing the button assigned to Teleport, that way you are instantly on the cheeky sod lol

  • Trapper, yes, he has massive issues with his kit. His trap placements can only be unpredictable to a point. Too weird or out of the way and they become pointless. There's never really a reason to take him over Hag.

With Hag, you really only need Corrupt Intervention for slowdown if your placements and strategies are good. Some maps are better than others of course. But a Hag should always be playing a 3 or 4 gen strat from the start. Always have at least 7 traps down and don't commit to 1v1 chases as a general rule. Exceptions apply though. Don't be afraid to teleport just to reset a trap if you can't get the hit. Hag is all about patience and insane snowball.
