How i see the game

Its broken up into 3 parts. Early, mid and late.

Early game is when survivors are strongest.

Late favors killers. Most of the time.

Mid game is where the back and forth happen.

The survivors ability to complete their objectives while using as few resources as possible in the early dramatically influences the balance of power for the rest of the game. The killers main goal early game should be to stake out territory and force survivors to use up pallets as well as injuring people. Any hooks made during the early game significantly increases their power balance during late game. A killer who wons early game most likely wins before late game

Mid game is the fun part of the game. Less gens means easier pressure. More chases and interraction between roles. Killers job now is to keep gens from popping while harassing survivors as much as possible. Breaking chases here is a better strategy than during early game as you will have a better idea of where survivors are. If you marked your territory early then the gens are closer to each other and easier to patrol. Although you should prioritize hooking as much as possible and also making survivors use up pallets and medkits. Here survivors need to be extremely wary of 3 genning themselves. Even sacrificing a hook state or 2 to prevent it.

In an even match late game will come with everyone hooked and one or 2 dead. Then you go full on head hunter. Breaking chases when being led away from your territory but prioritizing the kill.

Now, survivors should be expected to win early game as it stands. They need to. Its why many players dont do totems or search chests. More time spent off gens makes late game harder. The more pressure a killer has before mid game the harder it is for survivors to come back.

Even NOED isnt threat enough to potentially throw the balance of the game to weaken the killer at his strongest point. Its far more advantageous to do objectives and have as many people alive with as many resources as possible left. A pallet counters NOED

Dies early game go too fast? Yes but it almost has to with killers being so strong late game.
