Problem with the MMR

I have had 6 games of DBD on the Xbox today and every one of them the other survivors have either DC'd or purposely given themselves to the killer.

I am wondering how my MMR will ever potentially get better if I hardly have a chance to show what I can do in a game to gain a good rating.

This has caused me to turn the game off as I'm having no fun at all.

I was hoping MMR would help but it just seems to have made it worse so far.
