(PS4) hit from another room- bug or lag?

i was playing in a swf with one friend, i was playing as david, they were playing as nancy. we were on the new silent hill map, teamed with two adams against a michael.

at one point, we were both suddenly hit when we were not near enough to be, it's especially clear on my video where he isn't even in the same room. it was such a surprise and we hurried to clip it and didn't realise that would dc us, otherwise we would have stuck around to see if it happened again.
