Technician Perk still bugged?

I very rarely play survivor but when I do, I’ve always had a fondness for Technician Perk. Except, the last time I decided to put in some hours as survivor, a sound bug was preventing Technician from working properly. In all honesty, bugs can last a loooooooong time, or disappear only to reappear. Just wondering if Technician actually is reducing the sound by 8 meters or not. I’ll play tomorrow if I hear good news~
