So a tier list sounded fun
So anyone that recognizes me knows I'm very firm on some of my pov in this game..and that stems from over 2 years of in game experiance and playing both sides to the highest levels the game currently has available...now my tier list is formatted like so..
S: spoilers there is none..I'll explain later
A+The highest quality we current have and is geared to have a fighting chance vs swf at full power in their current state
A: The ideal gear for killers to be around,
ready to fight at higher tiers without a massive perk reliance and powerful when experianced
B+: Almost perfect but have a glaring issue that makes them fail where they shouldnt
B: Good but could be better
C: weaker at top play and could use some number buffs or tweaks but no major changes to kit seem necessary AKA reworks
D: the killer is missing something big and it holds them down to the point I feel even a minor rework at least is needed
Now I have a philosophy that killers need 2 keys to success, a map pressure tool and a chase tool, all the best killers ever made have both of these, it's the only way to combat swf and even high skill solo teams , even after all the map changes swf have proven the strongest force in dbd by a mile due to the speed of obj and powerful perks..now let's get started
S: As I said there is none..because despite what many would believe not a single killer can win swf every time , or even the majority of the time if they are experienced and know the game well..hence why I believe s does not exist in current dbd
A+: spirit
A: freddy, doctor, oni, hillbilly
B+ Hag, huntress, PH , myers,ghost face,
B: pig, plague, nurse,
C: Demogorgan , death slinger
D: legion,clown, wraith, leatherface, trapper
Alright I believe that's everyone..now a brief summary of my decisions
Spirit: Shes got the tools needed to catch even the best players with enough practice, the perfect killer imo, she encourages all new ways to play on both sides and it makes everything less monotonous
Freddy: Or as I call him the king of gen defence , requires decision making in both ends to shake up how the game is played, best map pressure on demand in dbd, has two options for anti loop and is no longer countered massively by self care
Doc: One of my favorites and my first killer the level of chaos doc brings to turn the trial into a thrill ride makes me giggle as much as him, but hes not just exciting hes good in the hands of someone able to mind game and predict effeciantly but does need experiance to reach that level
Oni: God is this guy fun..love his presence he brings , hes got massive snowball potential and rewards high pressure play styles and builds by granting him power more often and giving him the power to crush out positioned opponents
Hillbilly: Outside his bugs making him feel aweful rn to play hes got the second best two in one ability behind spirit..his ability is his pressure and chase tools as one single power , both of these being on demand sets him in his place as he is very time efficient
Hag: She should be in A with the others because a strategic hag makes you second guess everything and can turn the map into a mine field..good hags even make full use of her camera pull, however flashlights in a swf can render her power useless with shocking ease..I believe they should address this as the game is about to go to the next level and this kind of thing will be heavily exploited , I'd say make it like sabo where it burns charges quickly so it needs to be used smartly , or removed entirely as it's not crucial by any means
Huntress: Map dependency, most map dependent killer in game..she only succeeds because of good addons and her ability to punish pallets, I think she should have a lower CD on canceled hatchets so she can fight these loops a bit better, especially ones like at the temple of purgation
Ph: His efficiency style map pressure is ingenious and a lot of fun, however his line attack is easy to avoid and hard to aim, plus dead hard if working garunteed his line attack cant hit you resulting in a large punish..zoning helps with this but it's not enough at top levels, I think they should enhance the controls of ph in his stance to make the attack less clunky or speed up the attack slightly so it's an effective punish on a good read outside animation locks so he can shave a little chase time
Myers: His slow start and limited stalk kill his early game , resulting in a long game of catch up if theres spine chill involved especially, I think they should make stalk on each survivor recharge over time when not being stalked or in chase so he doesnt grow weaker later in the game but cant just snowball off 1 person alone, also his t3 mode could use a little extra oomph..as I can usually waste most to all of his t3 in 1 chase..seems a tad silly it's that easy..perhaps enhanced interactions like breaks could work or perhaps something else..theres a lot that could be used
Ghost face: best stealth killer imo, But his stalking on some maps is not very usable and perks like spine chill are too much for stealth killers to shine..I think his reveal mechanic needs to be streamlined like his second ptb version where it was good but still doable to break him out..as much as I dislike the mechanic ..honestly I'm not sure what to do outside changing spine chill so it's less oppressive on him..his power is pretty limited
Pig: She has a lot of numbers and values..many of these are just too low..she has very weak stealth, rng traps, and a near useless dash at loops, I'd add a couple addons like combat straps to base , remove the roar from her dash or at least delay it till after she dashes to give more of an actual ambush quality..see where she goes from there
Plague: plague has really been doing well with her new garunteed pool, but she could still take it a step further to be more effective , I think sickness should have a stage 3..where nobody can accelerate it or slow it, but say after..a minute and a half of being infected to stage 2 and not in chase..you go down..or..give this stage additional debilitating effects, like unable to recover from exaustion, slower gen speeds, stuff that makes since when your guts are flying out of your face
Nurse: Shes only not at the top for one huge reason..her second cooldown on her blinks..now I always played naked nurse because that's what I was always told was the best way to learn her..but now every time she blinks that's at least 5 free gen seconds. And she has to use her power at all stages of the game..so it stacks and stacks and stacks..I was all for her busted addons leaving but this recharge has done nothing but make her feel crappy to play, bugged out, and a time sink..shes still my main but when I need 2-3 blink cycles to catch up which is 15 secs of free gen time just from the cd alone that's just too much..didnt help the devs lied by omition till the day before ptb..it was very disrespectful and low
Demogorgan: Great foundation but..every power he has is poked with holes, his shred is useless at circular loops because it cant be turned , his portals are easily destroyed and take a lot of time to set up, everything he does is broadcast throughout the map, and his stealth is just too short to make use of most of the time..do..id add rat liver to base so his shred at least doesnt need an addon to be viable, remove the global teleport sound on his portals, give him 5 secs of stealth out of portal over 2, and grant temporary oblivious to anyone who cleanses a portal..say..30 secs? Makes cleansing portals a tad more risky and he was way stealthier in the show..much more fun
Death slinger: Hes diet huntress..he just is..huntress with no pallet punish and wastes time doing damage..not much else to say..hes got stealth play but it's not enough to help with his flaws..I'd personally add a more realistic version of iri coin to base kit like..10-12 meters..rewarding long shots, adding a unique skill cap to him, and making up for his lack of a power punish..help make up for lost time as he has no map pressure
Legion: oh boy..these guys have been a mess from day 1..but current legion only succeeds like old frddy..he slows the game using perks to a slog fest and makes it tedious asf..hes got a good pressure tool but some kind of chase power is needed in order for him to be any good at top play , perhaps something to reward a lot of frenzy hits
Clown: So our local lung spitter got a decent buff that has helped his chase a lot , but hes the opposite of legion, he has no pressure tool..its hard to make one but..perhaps he can be a gen defender by setting a bottle on the gen..and if you fail a skill check or double stack on it it blows up into pink gas , could help with stacking and Perk synergies idk
Wraith: just like legion, all pressure and no real chase..catching people out positioned is his bread and butter but it's not all that great at the end of the day..I think they should use his addons rune style to maybe have him set out curses or enchantments, could be awesome
Leather face: tore up from the floor up, his addons dont help his power enough outside engravings and his power can miss at point blank range...major overhaul needed..I had an idea but it's too long to put here lol
Trapper: now sont worry hes only here because of my rules..he has decent strategic gameplay but his 1 trap start and scattered traps ruin him like no other, just give him 1 more trap to start and add a reloading from lockers instead of scattered about and he would be just fine , pretty easy fix and hes only here because it's technically a mini rework
Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading
