Stuck in Holding Survivor Animation/Sniping Survivors from Across the Map

I’m on the PS4, unsure if this is across all platforms though. I will grab survivors from lockers or sabotaging hooks and I will get stuck in the holding animation after grabbing them. Then, the survivor I’m holding won’t see anything wrong on their screen but a husk of their character will be floating in front of me, so when I hit it after they are picked up, they go back down even if they aren’t in front of me. I can’t hook them, close hatch, pick others survivors up, or damage generators. The survivor can’t struggle off either. This means I either sit in the game and have everyone suffer because of it or dc and suffer the penalty.
