High ping after Chapter 16 Patch

I have never had the problem running the game but ever since I downloaded the chapter 16 patch for the Pyramid head, my ping has risen sky high. There are games that lag and then there are games that don't but many people tend to naturally jump out of the game seeing the ping so high, I barely ever get any games anymore.

Anyone else have had similar experience?

Despite being able to play other games with max-settings, and DBD also runs on max settings for me, the pyramid head's own map, the Silent hill school building likes to lag just a tiny bit every now and then. I wonder if it is optimized right...
