In memory of my favorite Legion build : Dark Devotion Legion

Before the update that added both Oni and the perk Nemesis, Legion's power counted as a basic attack. This made it heavily synergise with M1 perks such as Sloppy Butcher and STBFL. But my favorite perk to run as Legion was hands down Dark Devotion. But after the short-sited change to fix the abuse with Nemesis it no longer works with them.

It was possible to do a number of things after smacking your obsession, with it's own upsides and downsides:

Upsides
  • Any survivor within 32 meters of your obsession would be highlighted by killer instinct
  • Further combo'ing with Infectious Fright would reveal any survivors in your obsession's terror radius, providing map knowledge, still works today
  • Finding and chasing another survivor will not pause their deep wound timer, making it possible to down a survivor with your power if you had the right add-ons and managed to find them quick enough
Downsides
  • Since you no longer have a terror radius, survivors near you will not be revealed with killer instinct, you have to track them without blood and scratch marks
  • Anti-synergy with STBFL, one of the best perks to run on Legion at the time
  • Unable to take advantage of deep wounded survivors if they run within 32 meters of the obsession

This build was hard to use effectively and fairly map dependent. But for me it made Legion just a little fun to play.

    Ive actually found stbfl still works really well with him. Normally you come across your obsession and you have to ignore them. With legion just smack them with FF and let them scurry off to mend and heal. You dont lost stbfl stacks
