Connection issue

hello, ive been playing on x box one for ages on this game and i thought id changed to pc. I have downloaded dbd on steam but when i load it up it seemes to get on the loading screen trys to conncect to the servers and then tells me theres no internet conncection. im not sure what the issue is and would like some help because it get stuck in this loop and when i force shut dbd down it then gets stuck running on my steam and have to exit steam to close it. any help would be apprecicated thanks
