would meme characters like cashier Carl or the mystery gang be a possibility?
Carl was a really awesome looking character and it's huge shame to kill such a godly character in the first few seconds of his introduction and as for Scooby doo there was a crossover with a show called supernatural that had plenty of blood and a few dead bodies, shaggy even breaks his arm so I don't see the issue with the live action versions of them being characters,, anyway do you think the devs would bat an eye at such characters, and if so who do you want as a meme character?
